The Sanctuary
School education & culture
Social commitment
Prana Veda has been supporting children in Bondalem since 2006. We see education as the key to a self-determined future, which is why we take on sponsorships and specifically support school projects.
Since 2008, we have also been committed to preserving Balinese culture and tradition: we provide traditional dance lessons in two schools, creating spaces for creativity, expression and joy for the children.
In this way, we combine our local activities with our vision: to create a meeting place that not only serves our guests, but also the local community.
Living mindfully with nature and community
Environment & Sustainability
Since 2014, we have been cultivating our own permaculture garden, which provides us with fresh, organic fruit and vegetables every day. In this way, we provide our guests with healthy meals straight from nature – grown with care and in harmony with the seasons.
Sustainability is more than just a word for us. We live it in many small and large steps: Hot water and our Watsu pool are heated by solar panels, we use energy-saving LED lamps, separate waste and rely on natural alternatives such as copper ions and salt instead of chlorine for pool cleaning.
We are also committed to protecting the nearby coral reef, promoting learning projects at the village schools and ensuring that local resources are used. This creates a cycle that not only strengthens our guests, but also the community and nature around Prana Veda.
We have also been working intensively for many years on the issue of waste disposal, which has still not been resolved throughout Bali.
