Yoga, Ayurveda & activities
Space for stillness & movement
Yoga & Meditation
On the second floor of our main house there is a 63 sqm yoga room with teak flooring and sweeping views over the sea – a place for yoga, meditation and dance. There is also a yoga shala in the garden, which is also available to our guests outside the retreats. High-quality yoga mats, meditation cushions, bolsters, belts and blocks are of course available.
Prana Veda is an ideal place for small groups (4-12 people) who appreciate a familiar and personal atmosphere.
Yoga – from the Sanskrit “union” – is a philosophy of life that is thousands of years old. The practice combines physical movements (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditation to create a path of inner balance. It harmonizes body, mind and soul, expands consciousness and can lead to more clarity, freedom and vitality.
"If we take care of the root of the tree, buds will sprout and give off their fragrance. If we take care of the body, the mind and soul will blossom."
B.K.S. Iyengar
Balance for body & mind
Yoga & meditation in retreat
During our retreat weeks, you can expect daily yoga and meditation classes in small groups. Our yoga teachers teach Hatha Yoga with influences from Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga and therapeutic approaches. Each class is individually tailored to the needs of the participants and combines physical exercises, breath work and meditation.
In the afternoon, the focus is on gentle forms such as yin yoga, restorative yoga and somatic yoga. In addition, we offer various types of meditation – from silent and guided meditations to breathing and water meditations and dance meditations in the open air.
Rediscovering the balance of life
Ayurveda & Spa
Prana Veda has two swimming pools: a large infinity pool directly by the sea and a therapy or Watsu pool in the inner courtyard, which is heated to 34-35 degrees using solar energy. The warm pool is the heart of the house and invites you to deep relaxation. Our Ayurveda cures, massages and healing treatments follow the natural rhythm of your being – compassionate, individual and deeply effective.
Around the therapy pool there are quiet spots for massages, Ayurveda treatments, Reiki and other body and consciousness work. A large stone bathtub invites you to enjoy fragrant Cleopatra flower baths – an unforgettable experience for two.

Questions & Answers
Massages in Indonesia have very deep roots from Chinese and Hindu Ayurvedic origins. It is a deep massage that uses kneading techniques to work on the deeper layers of the muscles, loosening and relaxing them and calming the mind. It is performed on the massage table with oil - you can choose the scent of the oil yourself.
It is a flowing full-body massage with hand-pressed, warm coconut oil from our own land, which softens and smoothes the body, detoxifies and generates new vitality and freshness. This flowing, gentle massage incorporating Marma therapy from South India - the science of vital points in the human body - supports this and can release additional or blocked energy.
The treatment begins with a warm Ayurvedic full-body oil massage followed by herbal heat compresses. The pressure point massage is used to activate the body, while calming movements are used for deep relaxation.
The treatment helps to relax the muscles and mobilize restricted joints. It can heal disorders in the organs, relieve digestive problems and emotional blockages and support the immune system.
We offer:
- Ayurvedic herbal heat compress treatment - Kizhi
- Taoist abdominal massage - Chi Nei Tsang
- Healing treatment for pain relief - with Ayurvedic herbal heat compresses
It is a unique form of Ayurvedic full body massage developed by a student of the great yoga master B.K.S. Iyengar in Poona, India. It combines deep muscle work, including footwork (if you wish) and yoga stretches to open and rebalance the body and mind and release energy blockages. In addition to the oil, a powder (calamus) is used, which has a strong detoxifying, circulation-promoting and cleansing effect. The massage is performed on a floor mat.
Thai massage consists of passive stretching positions and stretching movements, joint mobilizations and pressure point massages. Selected energy lines taken from Ayurveda teachings are worked on. The body is energized with gentle stretches and rhythmic pressure from the balls of the hands, thumbs, knees, elbows and feet. Thai massage is characterized by its dynamic and powerful aspect and takes place in comfortable clothing on a floor mat without oil.
The traditional Javanese Cleopatra flower bath begins with a deep full-body oil massage - you choose the fragrance yourself - followed by a flower body scrub to remove old skin particles and soften the skin. Afterwards, you can get into the large stone bathtub filled with fragrant flowers alone or as a couple. And then there are little surprises. A treat for body and soul.
This treatment begins with a warm foot bath, followed by cleansing and massage of the feet. The feet are then massaged. As the reflex zones of the feet are connected to our organs, blockages can be released in this way and energy can flow freely again.
Treats the scalp, hair roots and the hair itself with organic coconut oil from our land, which has a very nourishing effect and concludes with a neck and face massage.
This treatment is very relaxing and has a calming effect on stress and tension and activates important energy points of the body. It also creates clarity and calm in the mind.
Harmony, cleansing & regeneration
Aim of the treatments
Our treatments are designed to restore the balance of the body’s energies (doshas) and gently relieve the body. They support the removal of metabolic toxins, can release emotional blockages and promote a deep process of cleansing, renewal and strengthening of the immune system.
The treatments have a vitalizing, regenerating and rejuvenating effect – and open up a space in which body, mind and soul come into contact. Mindful touch, love and attention invite you to encounter yourself more intensively and deepen your body awareness.
According to Ayurvedic tradition, regular treatments in particular unfold their full effect: they activate the flow of energy, give lightness and inner clarity.
We will be happy to advise you on the choice of suitable treatments.

Mount Batur Trekking
Up to the summit of the volcano at sunrise
Mount Batur (Gunung Batur) is located in the north-east, near Kintamani. Climbing the 1,717 meter high, active volcano, whose last minor eruption only took place in 2000, is a unique experience. In the cool of the night, the approximately two-hour ascent to the crater is made by torchlight along unpaved paths. The last few meters of the ascent are particularly steep. At the summit, a small picnic breakfast with hot coffee or tea awaits the sunrise. Don’t forget to try an egg boiled in the volcano!
At dawn, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the unique surrounding volcanic landscape, even with a view of the mountains of Java and Lombok on a clear day. This view makes up for the effort of the climb.
Day trips
We are happy to organize personal tours for you to the volcanoes, waterfalls, temples, walks through rice fields, diving, shopping, rafting and round trips across the island to hidden, mystical places.
